Fear and respect being two quite different things, bro', I think it's fair to say a good indication is centralized control, inflexibility, inadabtability, dependency, and a loss of morale.
People will work for you insomuch as they "fear" losing their livelihood, even for a short time. There again, the "fear" itself is largely unfactual and they'll only produce for you what they absolutely HAVE to for as long as the have to.
Respect can come from fear, sure. I guess. But, it won't be long before those who fear you begin comparing you to what they respect for better reasons which make them want to produce happily w/ a new boss--even at a substantial decrease in pay.
In short, you're screwed in the long term...

I can respect their valued suggestion which helps me to grow up as a good citizen and successful employee to listen the narcissistic advices. But We have to remember that"excess of any thing is bad". I can never respect a parent or boss who all the time use to do advice and never will accept my own identity. In such a case I will never respect such a narcissistic parent or boss. Advices and experiences help to achieve goal but not in excessive manner. I would like to learn with my own experiences too.
effctive communication brings respect between boss and emplyers so if there no respect theres no respect so it will ause arguement and affect working with the person.
