The manga consists of two parts- Rozen Maiden and the Tales. Rozen Maiden is about a doll named Shinku who is a Rozen Maiden doll. There are seven dolls of Rozen Maiden. These dolls are made by Rozen. The dolls are 'so well made, they appear to be alive...' The story starts off when a middle school child named Jun, (Sakurada Jun) who is basically a social outcast who spends his days ordering things online, receives a letter asking him, 'To wind' or 'Not to wind'. There is technically no "season 3." However, the second season is followed by a two-episode OVA titled Rozen Maiden Ouvertüre. Currently this is only available on DVD. Sentai Filmworks included the special in the latest edition of the Rozen Maiden series boxset (dubbed and subbed). It is also available on a stand-alone DVD.

Shinku doesn't have a age. She's a doll(Rozen Maiden). By her appearence, she seems like 6-8 years old. But actually, she is very old, since Rozen Maiden was made before a very long time by Rozen.
