Beatles for Sale
They didn't. They actually had very little to do with Help! other than writing the music, and appearing in the movie. Lennon in particular hated Help!, saying he "felt like an extra in my own film". They never did another theatrical movie. The story put out at the time "Help!" was released, was that Elias Howe dreamed up the invention of the sewing machine. In his dream, he was captured by natives who surrounded him with spears. The spears had holes in their tips, which inspired Howe to complete his idea for the sewing machine. As we all know from the last scene in the film, Ringo is surrounded by "unfriendly's" and about to be sacrificed. I vaguely recall the screenwriter saying in an interview that Howe's dream played a part in the plot development for "Help!" Anybody have access to this interview? Let us know.
You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)
The Beatles starred in the 1965 film "Help!". Their album, of the same name, was released August 6, 1965.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you are referring to the 1965 film Help!
Not a lot. A Hard Day's Night was a better film.
The Beatles hum Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 (Ode to Joy) in the film Help! in order to lull a lion.
Their first film was "A hard day's night", followed by "Help", "Magical Mystery Tour", "Yellow Submarine" and "Let it be"
John Lennon sang lead in "Ticket to Ride."

More than 2 - In 1964, Hard Days Night In '65, Help! In '67, Magical Mystery Tour In '68 Yellow Submarine There was also a documentary film, Let It Be, which was never officially released, but is quite interesting. There is also Anthology, which is not a feature film as such, but contains footage from The Beatles and interviews with The Beatles and those afilliated with them.
Each of them individually made their own movies as well, but all together, the Beatles had five movies:A Hard Day's Night (1964) [Comedy film; A fictitious adventure of The Beatles, broadcasting a day in their lives of touring]Help! (1965) [Another comedy film; The Beatles encounter a cult!]The Magical Mystery Tour (1967) [Film based loosely on Ken Kesey's psychedelic road-trip adventures in the 60's]Yellow Submarine (1968) [Animated comedy film; The Beatles try to rid a fantasy underwater city known as Pepperland from Blue Meanies, a music hating species.]Let It Be (1969) [This is a Beatles documentary]
