In the eleventh book of the Private series, Reed Brennan, Noelle Lange and their friends come back to Easton to find the Billings building torn down by the headmaster of the school, who happened to be their friends' father. Graham and Sawyer Hathaway, the sons of the headmaster, are the newcomers of the school. One day Reed finds an old, leather-bound book on her bed with no note or sign whatsoever. She finds out that this used to be the book of Elizabeth (Eliza) Williams, and how she wrote down everything in it, including the spells they cast as witches, and the events that led to the death of Catherine White, Eliza and Theresa Billings' best friend. In this book, Reed, along with her new friend Ivy Slade, re-create the Billings Literary Society, even including a grudgingly acceptant Noelle. They have to cut three members out, although one quits before the three crucial tests ended. At the end of the book, Noelle is missing and the kidnappers have sent a text to Reed saying that she had to keep the information to herself and follow their every instruction or else Noelle would die.
