Damien Echols was sentenced to death and remains on death row in solitary confinement in Arkansas. Jason Baldwin was sentenced to life in prison, and Jessie Misskelley was sentenced to life in prison plus 40 years.

All three of them remain in prison, pending appeals. In 2007, a hair was found in the ligature of victim Michael Moore, which was consistent with Terry Hobbs, the step-father of Stevie Branch. Another hair, which had DNA that was consistent with David Jacoby (Terry Hobbs' best friend) was also found at the scene. The circuit court judge who originally tried the West Memphis Three (WM3), Judge Burnett, had denied an evidence hearing for the WM3. The defense appealed the decision to the Arkansas State Supreme Court (ASSC), and in November 2010, the ASSC revised the circuit court judge's decision, and remanded it to hold an evidence hearing.

The defense intends to call six prominent forensic pathologists and other experts, to testify that the injuries which were allegedly caused by a knife, were actually the result of animal predation.

There are also rumors that the State of Arkansas plans to show that Jessie Misskelley has continued to confess and admit his involvement in the crimes.

John Mark Byers, the adopted father of Christopher Byers, is now a supporter of the WM3, advocates for their release, and has started a blog about the case.

Pamela Hobbs, the mother of Stevie Branch, and ex-wife to Terry Hobbs, advocates for a new trial, does not believe the WM3 have been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and reluctantly expresses doubt about her ex-husband's innocence in the murders.

The Moore family remains satisfied with the original verdict.

The West Memphis 3, jailed for 18 years, were released on new DNA evidence in August 2011. They are still convicted felons, and will be followed as such.

The three men, referred to as the West Memphis 3, were arrested and convicted of the May 1993 slayings of three second-graders whose bodies were mutilated and left in a ditch. At the time, the three struck a deal with the prosecution by entering what is known as an Alford plea, which means they didn't admit to any actual criminal act, but they did acknowledge the prosecution probably has enough evidence that it would lead to their conviction. It was legalistic alternative to a not guilty plea, but it offers no closure as to the actual events to the victims families.

Earthellism, the new philosphy for the 21st century, helps deal with the WM3-three young men convicted of killing 3 boys. Recent coverage is trying to free or retry these men due to their claims of being not guilty (their words). Their behavior is consistent with atheistic human devils (not Satan worshipers). We tell our kids to play in groups to avoid a lone predator from hurting them, so it would take at least 2 if not 3 people to kidnap, torure and kill 3 young boys on bikes. Also nonevil people do not joke or brag about killing 3 young boys unless they did the crime or are capable of committing this crime. Therefore the WM3 are prime suspects and fit the psychological pattern of child predators. After their conviction they now plead that they are not guilty, not that they are innocent. Someone who does not believe in a just and humane God, a human soul or a true hell can kill and completely show no remorse and completely lie to get a new trial or avoid execution. A nonevil person would not act like the WM3, and a innocent person would not act like the WM3. Our legal system does not handle heinous crimes like this because we let the murders victimize the victims then the families then the community then the legal system. The WM3 joked about killing these 3 boys and have never shown any remorse. They have no alibi and mainly say they are not guilty meaning that no one can completely prove they did the crime and not that they are innocent. I would tell the WM3 that life is unfair and when you say you lied and joked about killing 3 boys sometimes you get unfairly punished but did not those 3 boys get unfairly punished also. In the WM3 we see 3 atheistic human devils and only a guilty person really fears being executed since an innocent person who believes in a just and humane God, a human soul and a true hell knows that the lethal injection will be a direct ticket to heaven. This is very similar to the Yogurt store murders in Austin and again one sees 4 atheistic human devils who confessed to 4 murders. They claim their confession was coerced but they have no alibi and behave exactly like a guilty person of such a crime. This is clear from their body language since a atheistic human devils body language is their Achilles heal.

The West Memphis Three are three teenagers back in the 90's convicted of killing three eight year old boys. Several people including Johnny Deep and other big names think they did not do it and after 16 years are about to get a chance for a retrial. I do not think they did it either.

Thanks for bringing attention to the West Memphis Three. Anyone interested in keeping up with the latest - and learning what YOU can do to help - should visit the website co-run by Mark Byers', the father of one of the victims of (Terry Hobbs') crime... and one of the most vocal WM3 supporters out there. Get involved and stay up on the case:
