Goku stopped using it after the King Piccolo Saga in Dragonball. The purpose of Goku's Power Pole was for him to use it to climb to Korin's Tower in the Dragonball episode "Boss Rabbit's Magic Touch". It was always visible extending from Korin's Lookout to Kami's Tower during the course of Dragon Ball Z. However, Goku used it another time during the movie Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone during his battle with Garlic Jr. & his henchmen and in the movie Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest during the battle with Dr. Wheelo. The Power Pole was last seen again in Dragon Ball Z during the Garlic Jr. Saga when Korin used it to bet in a Poker game with Maron and Yajirobe.
The last sight of Goku with his power pole appeared during the Japanese ending credits of the Dragon Ball GT episode "Until We Meet Again".
