Sadly, Angela Holmes the wonderful designer and owner of the company died aged just 50.

In answer to what happened to Droopy & Brown's, Ltd., and unrelated to the above Angela's brother, and co founder with her husband Keith, Angela's death did not in fact close the company directly. We continued for a while using both Angela's and my designs, until our funding was recalled by LLoyd's bank. Despite an increase in profits & t/o, audited 4 weekly management a/cs, & the backing of their appointed business adviser, we were told that LLoyds Bank thought we would go bankrupt, and were removing our facility. This included a term loan, that we had never defaulted on, assets guaranteeing above the level of borrowing, and an acceptance by the DOT of a small loans guarantee scheme, which the bank refused to support. In effect, LLoyds bank bankrupted Droopy & Brown's. The financial acumen of LLoyds bank management is high lighted by their position today.
