He fell down some stairs holding a plate of food - saving the plate of food. He never did rehabilitation therapy for his neck (other than wearing the neck brace and using a neck pillow when he could) so his neck didn't heal properly. A nurse friend and I discussed this with him the night of his B'Day party and concert in LA on March 15, 2009, back at his hotel.
