Once Maya's mother and father realized that she was smoking without their permission, they sent her away to a camp. The camp took away all cell phones and therefore she could not contact Emily. Maya just returned though to Rosewood and she and Emily are in a budding romance!

In the last book, Maya reconciles with Emily. But in the last four chapters, it shows a hint of their lives will be after all this mess. Aria will be with Noel, Hanna finally feels beautiful, Spencer's life is finally normal; her parents love her, but Emily's story ends by her burying her "Ali" momentums and hearing a giggle in the night. She might just get back with Maya.
Emily and maya are in Emily's room when they leave Emily's mom goes in there Rommel to retur Maya's bag to her she picks it up and a tin box falls out she opens it and meth or some drug is in it and assumes booth Emily and maya are doing it..... Not that but smoking meth or something. So she asks Emily about it andtelly Maya's mom so they send her to a rehab camp.
