In 1978, Matias left the band, after about 3 years with the band. He

formed his own group but he broke up that band after only a few months.

His father had died and his sister died also a few months later. He started

playing for the Lord and still does today. Machismo continued playing and

and recording for a total of 16 years. They had various singers through

out those years and did well. Their "10th anniversary" album had a couple of

songs that did well: "Patricia" & "Muchacita Color Canela", the latter was

covered by Ram Herrera. When Matias, left, 1978, they were working on an album

but the project was canceled. That album, simply titled "Machismo" was released

on the "Bigs" label in 1982. That was the last album with Matias Munoz singing 5 songs

and 5 by the band.

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
