That's a great question. I would say the most recent famous person who attended FIDM is Lauren Conrad from The Hills but Nick Verreos from Project Runway teaches there, along with Monqiue Lhuillier who is a wedding dress designer and one of the founders of Juicy Couture also graduated from FIDM.

Where is the FIDM located?
FIDM has four campuses: One in LA, San Diego, San Francisco and Orange County. All campuses are great and beautiful! I have friends who attended the LA campus and they really loved FIDM. If you're thinking about a career in fashion, it's definitely one of the best fashion colleges out there :) Good luck!
