It connotes danger as it shows that the island is hellish as well as heavenly

In lord of the flies, ben is a follower of jack...or a choir boy.
In "Lord of the Flies," the simile "skull like coconuts" is used to describe the appearance of the pig's head that is mounted on a stick, also known as the "Lord of the Flies." This comparison highlights the juxtaposition of the natural and primal instinct within the boys with the innocent and nourishing image of coconuts, emphasizing the dark and disturbing themes of the novel.
Ralph cracks the skull because it signifies the breaking of his ties to civilization and the realization of primal instincts within him. Cracking the skull of the Lord of the Flies symbolizes his rejection of the evil and savagery that had consumed the island. It does not necessarily make him feel better, but it represents his defiance against the darkness that had overtaken him.
Ralph lashed out with his fist and punched the pig's skull which was mounted on the stick, causing it to fall to the ground and break into two pieces. Ralph did this because... 'A sick fear and rage swept him.' There is no mention that the skull is 'The Lord of the Flies', the skull was simply all that remained of the pig's head, which was left as an offering to the beast.
The island in Lord of the Flies is shaped like a boat.
Nobody skins the pig. It's head is cut off and put on a spear. The flies then devour it and leave only the skull.
The skull like coconuts skattered on the floor is supposed to be like a nazi Germany concentration camp showing death and what happened to people when they entered the island. I don't personally recall any mention of coconuts scattered on the floor but the description of the choir dressed in black and marching in step in two parallel lines led by a boy who orders them around definitely has military overtones.
i like it raw
