In several modern languages, including Russian and Italian, moneta (Spanish moneda) is the word for "coin". ... After the wars, the Romans honoured Hera Moneta (that is, advisor - invoking the Latin verb moneo, meaning to 'warn' or 'advise'), and, accordingly, decided to stamp the coinage in her temple.

The same sign (with exactly the same rust stains) appears in Two Broke Girls. The sign can be seen in the girl's apartment on the right of the front door.

I want to know that too. Now it is in a new sitcom. That is so wrong. The new sitcom is not even close to as funny as The New Adventures Of Old Christine.

It looks like it might be an antique sign for a town in Virginia. Don't know why it would be on the show's set!
