I was watching Mrs. Doubtfire and was wondering the same thing.

The strangest thing was I was catching the end of "Law and and Order" and saw this women who I recognized the face but she was overweight and (whether she was dressed as the part) looked rather untaken-care-of. I looked to find out the name of the little girl was Mara Wilson.....So I started looking the net any new movies from her. To my dissatisfaction, there was little about this wonderful actress and comments about the way she had aged. I was dissapointed at the lack of support for this once endeared great actress.

I loved her in the movie Matilda. Mara was such an adorable little girl when she was in Matilda and the other films. She took time off after Thomas and the Magic Railroad to enjoy a normal life. She finished school and went to University to study more. She has expressed a desire to do acting in the future, such as in Cinderella, and also to write stories and possibly screen plays. I hope that she is happy with either choice, but that is up to her. She is a lovely, talented young woman, now, and we might still see or hear about her in the future. I wish her all of the best whatever she chooses to do. God bless Mara Wilsom!

Her last movie was Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000). Unfortunately, the film did not do well in the box office and also signaled an end to Mara's childhood career as she focused on her school career and just enjoying her teenage years.

In June 2005, Mara graduated from Idyllwild School of Music & Arts and has since gone on to attend New York University where she is studying drama so perhaps the big screen has not seen the last of her!
