In Canada, 14A is a rating for films. Films with this rating are suitable for people 14 years of age or older and may contain violence, course language, or sexually suggestive scenes. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult in order to view the film in a movie theatre.

Furthermore (this is merely from experience), in relation to American movie ratings, a lot of R rated films end up being 14A in Canada with only the most explicit being rated 18A. Additionally, the more graphic or violent PG-13 films are rated 14A, with the other end of the spectrum usually being PG in Canada.
