I don't own the Blu-ray version- I own the DVD version- but I've been searching some THG forums and they are saying that the Blu-ray version has blood on the weapons, but the DVD one after people get stabbed there is no blood on the weapons. Hope it helped.

Why doesn't Katniss use her father's bow in The Hunger Games?
Her dad was never able to use it so she did not want to use it because he never did. and cuz they didnt let her bring it to the actual games because if they knew she had her own bow and arrow then they would know she would have been hunting so in the games they would have made it harder for her and then back home they would have killed her family and you're not allowed to bring any weapons you are allowed to bring one item from your district into the games as long of it can't be used as a weapon
