Something ??. He invented Almost Perpetual Motion - The Amazing Clinker Pendulum Clock held in the science museum London. 1912 Mr Clinker built a crystal set capable of picking up the Morse time signals from Paris, and from then on, the Works

clocks were synchronised with the Eiffel Tower international

time signals.

He became a pioneer in the development of radio

valves, making in 1915, what is reputed to be the first British

hard vacuum valve. After the war he invented and designed a portable 2 valve receiver, with self-contained aerial, to replace the crystal set

used to pick up the time signals.
