The Hunger Games address reality television and the public's obsession with it, and how dangerous or silly it can be to all parties participating in the viewing, and performing.

The Hunger Games also addresses human rights and freedoms with the creation of the 13th district. It emphasizes that people can rebel against a government for their rights.

The lesson I learned is you do not want to be chosen for the Reaping Day lottery.

Different answerer: Ha ha. I wouldn't want to face Katniss as an enemy. But I think the asker meant the actual moral. Anyways, there isn't a specific lesson to the hunger games: but one might be that it pays to be the good person and to use REAL teamwork, unlike the hypocrite Careers in from the districts. (If you have not read the book you will not understand.)

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is based on a dystopian society in which Katniss, a girl from District 12, started out with her starving family. At the same time, the Capital citizens and all its glory ignore the desperate, starving families of District 12. This shows that the richer people of society pay little attention to the poor.

The Hunger Games made me think about survival and reminded me of a story that I'm writing. It's a very good book, one of my favorites.
