A connection?
Well first off the first book is The Hunger Games, second is Catching Fire, and third is Mockingjay.
They're all great books, and if you mean like a connection to the books (all three of them) well you can sort of feel the pain, ESPECIALLY in Mockingjay with all of the deaths, and then Rue and Prim, you can feel a connection with them....
The Iliad is the epic poem of the battle of Troy. The Odyssey is the epic poem of one of the heroes of Troy trying to go back home. In Greek literature, this going home story is called a Nostos. Odysseus, the man for whom the Odyssey is named, displeased the gods and, as a result, his return home was delayed for 10 years. The story starts, as Homeric stories do, in the middle (or, in media res), and as the story progresses, people recount specific parts of the journey. The story ends with, well, his return home.
There is also a small focus on his son Telemachus as he becomes a man, like a coming of age story.
Both Odysseus and Luke have guides; Odysseus has Athena to guide him home, and Luke has Obi-wan. They also have different yet similar motivations because both are not selfish. True, Odysseus does brag and is vain along the way at first, but after a while, through is arduous journey, his goal becomes more focused on returning to his beloved son and wife. Do you really believe that his whole goal, his whole purpose, his whole motive, would just be for fame and glory? Would Athena, the god of wisdom, believe that it was wise to help and put her faith into a foolish man whom only wishes to achieve fame? And as for Luke Skywalker, he is not self-centered and that is obvious. True, he has certain desires, but as a whole he is quite modest. He wants to avenge his parents, both a selfish and unselfish act. Along their journeys, both are faced with many obstacles yet persist. There are many more comparisons to be made, but you can do the rest of the work!
When i read the myth of Odyssey i was thinking how alike it was to the Hunger Games. Suzanne Collins was a fan of greek mythology. The similarities are kids (both male and female) are sent to be killed/fight to death for a fight lost by their country/area.
In Theseus, King Aegeus angered the powerful King Minos by sending King Minos' son, his guest, to kill a dangerous bull that ultimately caused the death of the son. King Minos, in rage, forced the Athenian King to sacrifice seven young women and seven young men to the Labyrinth every nine years to meet their downfall to the Minotaur. In The Hunger Games, the twelve Districts waged a war on the Capitol. The Districts ended up losing, and in retaliation, the Capitol forced the Districts to "reap" one girl and one boy to the Hunger Games every year, where twenty-three out of the twenty-four kids would be killed. All in all, both Theseus and The Hunger Games have the concept of sacrifice, as well as the beating of great odds (as indicated by Theseus' slaying of the Minotaur and Katniss and Peeta's winning of the Hunger Games).

There is no difference. Actually, there is no such thing as "The Hunger Games Classic".
It doesn't exactly say, but she had to be between the ages of 12-18 to be in the Hunger Games. I would guess between 14-17

There is no proof at all that The Hunger Games is in any way inspired by Roman Times although there are tons and tons of similarities between the two
The conflict is between the capitol and the rebels.
In the book it is between the ages 12-18.
I believe it is 2 weeks
When Katniss is in the Hunger Games and fighting for her life and Peeta's and their so called "love" between them. Hope that's what you mean, your question doesn't really make sense. So I'm referring to "What is The Hunger Games mostly about?"
The Hunger Games and Twilight both have lots of death. The hunger games also has a love triangle, between Peeta, Katniss and Gale. Twilight has a love triangle between Edward, Bella and Jacob. The Twilght saga actully doesn't have a lot of deaths, because Bella's isn't really counted as a death. The hunger games, however has over 50 deaths.
