Wanda Young Rogers
Wanda is convalescesing in a Detroit suburb. Her last appearance in public was in early 2006 when she attended a play to raise money hosted by Catherine Anderson Schaffner.
She made a brief return to performing in the early 1990s solely without Marvelettes members Gladys Horton and Katherine Anderson. Mrs. Schaffner asks that everyone please respect Wanda's privacy during her rehabilitation.
Katherine Anderson
Katherine Elaine Anderson Schaffner retired from singing when the Marvelettes group disbanded in 1972 (the year Motown moved to Los Angeles). She had become very involved in helping the teenagers around Detroit. Her last appearance in public was in early 2006 when she attended a play in her home town of Inkster, Michigan. Katherine (Kat to her friends) is the mother of two adult children, Keisha and Kalaine Schaffner. She is also the grandmother of one grandson, Toure Schaffner.
Georgeanna Tillman
Georgeanna Marie Tillman Gordon died from complications of her illness in 1980 at the age of 36. She also has one child with Billy Gordon (of the Contours) whom she married on August 12, 1963. She is interned in Metropolitan Memorial Park, Belleville, Michigan.
Wyanetta Cowart
Wyanette Cowart Motley Left the Marvelettes back in April 1962. Shortly after, she bought a candy store that was in her neighborhood of Inkster, Michigan with money she saved up ($ 1,500.00). Her last appearance in public was in early 2006 when she attended a play in her home town of Inkster, Michigan. Wyanetta still resides in Inkster, Michigan.
Ann Bogan
After the Marvelettes disbanded in 1972, Anne Bogan went on to lead an RCA trio known as Love, Peace & Happiness, which was part of New Birth. Ann settled into a secure nine-to-five job in Cleveland. She is alive and well in Cleveland, Ohio. She sings with a Gospel group now.
