I suggest Tokyo Crazy Paradise. It is my favorite manga of all time. It's hilarious and action-packed as well, and has little school interaction in it, although there is some. It is about a girl disguised as a guy in a world where women are abused, and she becomes indebted to a mafia/Yakuza boss and becomes his bodyguard. She uses an awesome chain weapon and whoops butt. But yeah, it's mostly a comedy. You do have to put up with some romance though, but most the interactions are humorous.
If you really need some comedy, I'd suggest webcomics or webmanga. There are all sorts of these not about school life or Video Games, they are just not as popular, but still are just as funny. Try Shanime (dot) com for "The Peons" and "Hero +/-".
