Nobody really knows what lies under Kakashi's mask. It is estimated just to be a normal nose, chin and mouth. He actually covers it because he was an ANBU member.

Most of the "serious" images all pretty much show the same thing. Try and find the ones that actually look realistic.

This has been a mystery all the way through the manga and anime series. There was actually an entire episode dedicated to Team 7 trying to find what was under Kakashi's mask, but in an anti-climatic moment, it was revealed to be another mask. Naruto and the team had theories of their own, including Kakashi must have very big lips. The true reason has yet to be revealed anywhere in the series. However, there are a lot of fan theories floating around out there.

Fan theories:

  • It is a clan tradition, every shinobi in the family has to wear a mask to prove that he is a true ninja, despite age or appearance.
  • Kakashi was an ANBU, he cast away all emotion to become a mere tool. The mask symbolizes that he has no past, no future, no name, no identity, and all he has is the mission.
  • It's believed that Kakashi Hatake wears a mask because of his resemblance to his father(who is believed to be name 'Sakumo'), who gave up a mission to save his teammate. He was shunned by the village, and it eventually led to his suicide. To show that he is not his father, he began wearing the mask and he changed his personality drastically, that as to contradict the ideals of his father. He wore the mask to hide his own face, so that all that could be associated with him and his father was blood.
  • Kakashi just wears the mask to look cool.
  • Kakashi has a mask over his mouth, because when he was a joinin he lost his eye. His friend, Obito, gave him his Sharigan eye. Kakashi now has to keep it covered, because it is always in Sharigan mode.
  • When he was in ANBU BlackOps, he may have had a disfiguring injury, although he is shown wearing the mask at a much younger age in series flashbacks.
  • It is a clan tradition to hide his appearance from girls, because kakashi is very handsome. His father foresaw Kakashi becoming a ladies' man, so he put a mask over his face to keep him from being distracted from his ninja duties.

It's another Mask- That was in the original Naruto wear Team 7 spend the time trying to find out what Kakashi looks like under his mask.

His 'real' face it revealed in the manga. Though i might not be true it's coming from Pakkun (one of kakashi's dogs)

He is the link to the manga face showing Kakashi's face-

If you mean under his weird mask thing, it is his single Sharingan eye. [spoiler!] Obito Uchiha, a teammate from Kakashi's younger days, gave it to Kakashi as a present in celebration of Kakashi's high ranking. Obito gave Kakashi the eye because the Uchiha boy was going to die anyways from a huge rock that had smashed him. [end spoiler!]

Well, his eye is a sharingan, but his mouth and nose.... have not been revealed. If you haven't already, watch episode 101 of Naruto.
