Clyde Slim Wilson was my Dad's uncle. he was on KWTO Radio Station from 1932 until they quit doing live shows. He was the band leader on the Ozark Jubilee with Red Foley, and starting about 1964, he headlined a local Country Music show called the Slim Wilson Show out of KYTV in Springfield Mo. It ran for 11 years and featured local talent as well as some Nashville stars. Some of the regulars were, Slim his nephew Speedy Haworth on guitar and vocals, Bob White on bass and vocals, Roger Blevins on Steel, Paul Mitchell on piano, and Shirley Jean female vocalist. LD Keller and the promenders were a regular feature on the show. Every week there would be a special guest. Barbara Fairchild was a guest on our show before she got well known singing the Third Man. I typed the script and wrote cue cards for the show, and when I wasn't singing, I held up the cue cards for everyone else. it was a great fun time.
