Paul Jones was the lead singer with Manfred Mann before going solo in July 1966. Soon after that, in the same year, he had a hit with High Time and two more hits the following year, namely Bad, Bad Boy and Thinking Ain't For Me. In 1967 Paul Jones starred alongside the model Jean Shrimpton as a Pop Idol in the film Privilege.
Manfred Mann's new lead singer, in 1966, was Michael d'Abo. With him singing, the group had a couple of hits: Just Like A Woman and Semi-Detached Suburban Mr James.
The Manfreds didn't have as many hits with d'Abo as Jones had afterwards.
Paul Jones then went into acting and now performs with his wife Fiona. Manfred Mann has regrouped and perform with the versatile Paul Jones.
