No General Greivous was part of a reptilian species called the Kaleesh from planet Kalee. They were enemies from a neighboring spieces called the Huks and they wore skull battle masks made from their most feared creatures and they would hand down the skull masks from generation to generation. General Greivous of course had one of these masks. General Greivous was a Kaleesh warlord and would go and battle every day and then would return home to his wives and offspring. He had 10 wives and 30 kids. But then he was in a shuttel crash leaving him fatally injured and soem gusy who i forget their names found him and put him together in the form of a cyborg and like resurected him sorta and they presented him as a gift to Count Dooku. At first he was taken aback by suck a bizarre thing but he and Darth Sidious saw potential and trained him in the ways of the lightsaber. Now he is a feared sith warlord and General. Most of that ifnormation i learned form Starwars.com and one or two things from wookiepedia. So most of that information is property of Starwars.com and wookiepedia.com and not me. Starwars and General Greivous are property of George Lucas and/or Lucasfilm and i do not own eaither or any of thos copyrighted things.
General Greivous is with the Sith, not the Jedi. General Grievous has killed Jedi though. General Grievous used to be an alien called a Kaleesh from planet Kalee until Count Dooku and Darth Sidious arranged a shuttle crash, almost destroying Grievous, so Greivous would join them. Then they blamed it on the Republic and the Jedi. Then Grievous became the Sith general of the droid armies during the Clone Wars.
Originally, he was a member of the Kaleesh species. However, after serving as an enforcer for the Banking Clan, he was wounded in an explosion, infused with Sifo-Dyas's blood and "adapted" in such a way that you can see in the film.
Consider him, in many ways, a proto-type for Darth Vader's survival suit.
Matthew Wood voiced General Grievous in most of his incarnations (Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Clone Warsanimated series and in video games. John DiMaggio and Richard McGonagle have voiced Grievous on occasion.

No. The TV series does, but I've seen the movie and the only Sith characters are Dooku and Asajj Ventress. Of course there are the battle droids, but those are only minions. And Sidious was in there too.

If you are talking about the episode "Lair of Grievous" from the Clone Wars TV show, Grievous's lair was on the planet Vassek which is in the Outer Rim.

General Grievous was voiced by Matthew Wood in "Revenge of the Sith" and in "The Clone Wars." But in "Clone Wars" that aired from 2003-2005, Grievous was voiced by John DiMaggio in the first DVD volume and by Richard McGonagle in the 2nd DVD volume.
Grievous isn't in LSWII, only the first one as a boss for Episode III. But, if you have a Lego Star Wars 1 save file with Grievous unlocked, you can go into Lego Star Wars 2 and buy the cheat "Use old Save", which lets you take all your old characters from Lego Star Wars 1 and play as them in Star Wars 2.
