Mary was probably a witch. She did not want to harm anyone, but she was blackmailed by a lot of accusers. They knew she was a witch, and tried to kill her. Mary may not have died. She may have run away into the wilderness with the Indians. Although she did not finish her diary, the "unlettered women" explained that Mary hid with Rebeka Rivers while she was having her baby (where men could not enter).
