The "prequel" Marley & Me: The Puppy Years (recently released on dvd) stars Travis Turner, Donnelly Rhodes, Alex Zahara, Geoff Gustafson and Grayson Russell as the voice of Marley. DO NOT CONFUSE THIS MOVIE WITH: Marley & Me: The Terrible Two's which is "supposed" to be a sequel to the original. Terrible Two's has NOT been released yet and no date is available, although trailers have been advertising "coming soon to DVD" for nearly a year now.
Marley's nickname in "Marley and Me" is "The World's Worst Dog".

In "Marley and Me," some of the rising actions include the challenges of training Marley as a puppy, the adjustment period of becoming new parents, and the various incidents caused by Marley's mischievous behavior. These events lead to conflicts and growth within the family as they attempt to navigate life with their lovable but troublesome dog.
John and Jenny Grogan named their new puppy Marley because Bob Marley's music had been with them throughout their marriage. On pages 12 & 13 of my book, this is when they described it: "The more we explored, the more we fell in love, both with South Florida and with eachother. And always in the backround, it seemed, was Bob Marley....We fell in love with his music for what it was, but also for what it defined, which was that moment in our lives when we ceased being two and became one." (pg 12-John Grogan)
The protagonist in the book "Marley and Me" is John Grogan, a journalist and writer who adopts Marley, a mischievous and lovable Labrador Retriever, with his wife Jenny. The story follows their journey together as Marley grows from a rowdy puppy into a cherished member of the family.

Well, some dogs are not good with kids. But if you rescue a doberman it might be good with kids, but most of the time they are. If you get a doberman puppy it would be good with kids. Dobermans are good family pets and will get close to the owner.
There aren't any. Those poor animals have to suffer and die in terrible conditions. Their feet get stuck in grates and are cut or bitten off by other dogs.
