i dont really know what you are referring to, is the show called "this belongs to you" ? or is it a commercial advertising pbs itself?
i have heard a few songs from my favorite bands as well as anime series on pbs.
'wolfs rain' soundtrack was in one show. heres the link

you can browse around the other songs to find the one that fits - theyre all great :)
it seems like pbs is always using different instrumental pieces from all over. there was a childrens show where they had several 'they might be giants' songs in it but didnt mention the artists at the end of the show.
try doing a youtube search - http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=pbs+this+belongs+to+you&search_type=&aq=0&oq=pbs+this+be
hope this helps!
