It depends on the age. From about 10 or 11, a child may want to watch TV by themselves, so from then on, yes, you may want to consider putting a cheap set in their room. But a 4 year old will not really need one.

∙ 12y agoMy entire family has a television in each of their bedrooms and I don't find that it causes any problems other than your child staying up late if they cant sleep but I am a kid and I have to sleep with it on to fall asleep because I cant fall asleep without noise in the room. It depends I mean if you don't want the tv on at night you should make sure you don't ear it or something. Other than that I see no other problems or reasons not for your child to have a television. It can help if you want free time to yourself while your kid is upstairs watching TV. ;)
