Within Temptation is a Dutch band, formed in 1996 by Sharon den Adel and Robert Westerholt. The band first started off with a gothic-doom sound as heard on their debut CD Enter. In 2000 WT released new ablum title Mother Earth, giving the band fame. 2004 saw the released of The Silent Force. The band not expecting to be on tour long soon found their song Stand My Ground on the U.S. made movie Blood & Chocolate. This produce a small tour in the U.S. resulting in the band becaming a almost well-known name over there. In 2007 the band released The Heart of Everything. It marked the first major tour in the U.S. when WT opened for Lacuna Coil on there Hottest Chicks in Metal tour. As of today the band is still touring.In 2008 the band released another live albumn/DVD title The Black Symphony.
