Joan Collins and Elizabeth Taylor are not sisters. Ms. Collins was born to Elsa and Joseph Collins. Her sister is author Jackie Collins. Ms. Taylor was born to Sara and Francis Taylor, Americans who were living in London at the time of her birth. I wouldn't say Collins wasn't as famous as Taylor. I would say she was less notorious and more discreet in terms of her personal life. They were both married many times (Collins, five; Taylor, eight [to seven men]).
