Twilight is a great movie overall. If your kids are sensitive to blood and violence, the end of the movie might be a little scary for them. There are several murders in the movie. None of the murders are shown, but they are inferred. There is a good message though; in one scene in the movie Bella and Edward begin kissing and they start to kiss very romantically then Edward pushes himself back. He prevents himself from getting out of control. There's nothing worse than you would see on tv. There is blood at the end along with a fight scene.

Absolutely. High schools have it on their recommended List. The book promotes saving yourself for marriage and is about being true to yourself. My 13 year is an academic and not streetwise at all (rather protected) and she loved the book and appreciated the message behind the story. The author Stephanie Myers is a Mormon and would not write something against her beliefs.
