10 year old reading Twilight The Twilight Saga was originally designed for young adults and teenagers. They are really good books, but contain violence and sexual situations. 10 year olds can read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, but stay away from Breaking dawn it has some bad stuff for kids

I would rate it pg-13. But, seeing as you've already read the other three, it wouldn't corrupt you or anything. It's a really good book, but this is a decision you need to make on your own. It depends on your maturity level. If you don't think you can handle it, don't read it.

∙ 11y agoYes, I think so. I read them when I was ten and I was fine. However, I am a very mature reader, but despite what everyone says, it isn't about kids killing each other, it's got a very strong story about standing up for what you believe in, sticking up for family, never giving up, fight for what you believe in, it does have a good message.

Should a 11 year old watch twilight movies?
Yes, I took my 9 year old daughter and my 12 year old son. They both loved it!!! My son read it before the movie came out and plans to read the entire series. Hope that helps!! well depends what the 11 year old is afraid there are some scary scenes in it and you see a tiny bit of them having sex i say yes Spark12222 says: I saw it when I was like 10 and was fine with it but if your kids are more sensitive then they might find the ending a bit scary but it all depends on their maturity I guess. I don't generally get scared at films though. I would say not good for under 8 year olds. :) Yes, I think The Twilight series are suitable for ages 9+ .... :)

I have nothing against the series (I love it) but Breaking Dawn is absolutely inappropriate for younger readers. In fact, children in third grade and younger will probably struggle with the vocabulary. I recommend at least *10 and up*. Also, the vocabulary in Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse is complex. EDIT: I sometimes wonder if some people ask stupid questions just to see them here. Why didn't they ask if twilight was okay for kids (which it is, if they can read and understand it)? It is the first one in the series. But why ask about the only one in the series that has sex in it?
