Not at all. We are cousins and share the same grandparents and direct line of Swayzes that were early colonists and United Empire Loyalists to Canada. My first cousin Isaac Swayze was a member of Parliament , and an informant for the British Crown. They were of British Extraction. There is some Germanic heritage there as well , but they came from England and changed it from Sweasy, to Swayze. Although some of my relatives still use/d Sweasy. They were Protestant Quakers. Presbyterians and Lutherans.
