From an interview of Nathan Gamble:
Are your characters based on real people at all?
Nathan: No, actually.
Cozi: Winter is true. And Morgan Freeman's character is, too, kind of. There was a Doctor Who gave Winter a prosthetic tale. It's not like one of those movies that ends with "Hazel now lives…" But there are a lot of neat, real pictures at the end of the movie that show how Winter still lives and has touched the lives of many children with prosthetics.

The pelican in Dolphin Tale is actually played by two pelicans named Ricky & Lucy. I'm not sure about Racing Stripes.
Nathan Gamble is a blonde....but he had to wear a wig for Dolphin Tale
The Chesire Cat is from the movie Alice in Wonderland that came out not so long ago. It was a fairy tale movie with the star Alice based off the books but was formed into it's own twisted tale.
I may be possible. Why? Because Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, based Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru off of a tale called The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya. In that tale, the character Jiraiya is married to a woman called Tsunade. Orochimaru is Jiraiya's enemy, and attacks the couple. So, it may be possible that Jiraiya and Tsunade like each other in a maritial way.
The movie Chris McCandless was based off an Old book written by Chris McCandless himself, it was an autobiography about being the son of an Irish Immigrant candle maker and the heroic tale about how with his fathers candles he was able to save his town from some very bad men.
