at first he was assigned to go with team 7(kakashis team) in order to assasinate sasuke so he tricked all his team mates and betrayed them but then he knew about bonds then turned truly good but sai would get owned by sasuke although if he killed sai naruto will transform into kyuubi and own sasuke now that sasuke doesnt have the cursed seal...well hes pretty much screwed :S

∙ 14y agoWell I'm not absolutely sure, but he is only doing his job as an ANBU. He does care for Konoha and since he is given orders by Danzo (who does things in a very brutal way) he and Sai (who is a member of the root program) only really do what's best for Konoha even if it means killing someone close to them.
