She was The Miss Melodie, ala The Melodie Show, a performance extravaganza in Chicago Theatre.
She worked constantly at The Chicago Comedy Showcase, and at The Metro.
She was 'Managed' by Carlos Pepsi, aka Jim Shea, who was instrumental in the conception of The Melodie Show.
Upon leaving Chicago, Miss Melodie gave her then room-mate Bridget Murphy the a-ok to run with the concept, thus the birth of The Milly Orchid Show.
According to news reports, she died on July 17, 2012, with the cause of death currently unknown. She was 43 years old.
