On GNW 12/04/2010 he made a reference that hinted at it.

It was just after he was running away from Tom Gleeson through the audience, and there was piano playing in the background.

He said roughly, see that is what happens when you are gay, they play piano when you run.

Err.. no he isn't - he's married with kids and lives somewhere near Silverstone.

If you are asking "is he gay" as in the Chris Moyles definintion e.g. dull and irritating then yes, he certainly is. His voice is like chalk down a blackboard to me and he has no discernable talent,

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, become R4 arts show presenters."

YOU SHOULD BE SO LUCKY IF YOU HAD .001% OF MARK LAWSON'S TALENT!

That said, he does have a great face for radio.
