Chip Foose is 47 years old (birthdate: October 13, 1963).
He was fired by Boyd for designing motorcycle rims for Chip Foose during work hours at Boyds. He is now working with Chip Foose and has his own shop, Curtis Speed Equipment, machining custom hot rod parts, including wheels, and building cars.
Well, they discontinued the tv show, probably due to Boyd, and his ego, I have met him, and am speaking kindly, and also, the rise of Chip Foose, Boyd's student, and self proclaimed mortal enemy, which is where I have run into a few of Boyd's old employees. The painter, and that guy that used to work the CNC, both are much happier with Chip, who, is a gentleman, and all around good guy! Oh yeah. And he has a little bit of talent, too. You ever see Boyd crawling under cars on his show? Chip will push an employee out of the way, tell him to take the rest of the day off with pay, to get "hands on". Duane Mayer ( the "you're gonna get fired" foreman) is now Todd Hoffman ( the "you're gonna get fired") foreman on the GOLD RUSH ALASKA tv show.
