I heard that it was based on a true story. The name of the actual night club was the blue flame. Unlike the movie, the actual events didn't have a happy ending. Diamond was later murdered by her ex-boyfriend and her body was thrown in the Chattahoochee river. who and where did it take place people been saying it a true story but no way to prove it. No one can track the true story at the end she said you watch the news in the movie she was learning to be a news reporter.
