SEATTLE - Police believe that the Beethoven child actor Joe Pichler, who is missing since the last week might have committed suicide; a premise with which his family strongly disagree. Pichler, now an 18-year-old teenager lived alone in an apartment in Bremerton. His empty car was found on January 9 near a narrow water lane in Seattle.

Police also discovered a two page note, which they say could be a suicide note. In the note, Pichler expressed regret for not being a good brother to 17-year-old A.J and requested that all his personal possessions be handed over to him. Detective Robbie Davis, the chief investigator in the case said that there was no reason to think that the teenager met with foul play, "There's a good indication that it might have been a suicide, but we don't know that," he said on Monday.

However, Pichler's mother Kathy refused to believe the suicide idea. In a telephone interview to the Associated Press, Ms Kathy Pichler claimed that the police had not been through in their investigations.
