No, in fact, John Nettles has a double cow lick, which when he was younger, he tried combing it down to control it giving his hair an over contrived appearance. In the Bergerac series he often wears it cropped tight, and today he still does. He said in his book he did wear but if you read carefully its self mockery, which due to insecurity, he has become a master of self-effacement.
