Jerry Hadley was married to Cheryl Drake, a fellow Bradley University student and pianist who often was his accompanist at vocal recitals. They had two sons. They were divorced. At the time of his attempted suicide, reports alluded to police being called by "the woman who lived with him" at his house in Clinton Corners, NY outside of Poughkeepsie.
