In Manga and Anime there are some differences from western story telling. In Manga you read right to left, from right cover to left cover, from right side of the page to the left. In Manga and Anime you're going to see some differences in the type of stories they tell. Some Anime's and Manga's will have slices of life in them, but for most it will be like if you went to the sci-fi section or the fantasy section of the book store, only 3-times the sci-fi and fantasy.
