It could be considered as his mother was a "brilliant witch" and his father a "great wizard" that Harry is quite good as well. He isn't all powerful though but seems to be well off in most of the arts (excluding Divination) as he is a natural in Defence Against the Dark Arts, and has good potions, charms and transfiguration knowledge when he applies himself.

Most of Harry's strength came from his parents, such his natural ability to ride a broom from his father, and perhaps DADA from his mother who was capable of offering the ultimate protection possible for him. But some also came from the part of Voldemort's soul attached to him, and despite being pure evil, Voldemort was a very powerful wizard. The destruction of his soul though didn't seem to affect Harry much which could be explained in a way which is that Harry developed his skills in order to equal Voldemort and defeat him, and that skill continued onwards into his adulthood and his career as an Auror.
