Freddie Starr (UK Comedian) was discovered by entering in the talent show, 'Opportunity knocks' compared by Hugie Green.

He's certainly alive but unfortunately he's just cancelled his tour (Spring 2011) due to poor turn outs at the box office. To his detrement, he is more remembered for his caricatures of "Chalky White" (A west African), than he other comedy sketches he wrote. These days comedy like that is deemed as racist and even though Freddie has changed his act considerably he can't shake the stigma it seems.
