Probably not though, as he is more Scottish by descent than anything and Scots aren't known for being too fond of Irish, lol.

Eminem isn't Irish in any way at all, a large portion of his family were Scottish however, at least by half on both sides.

The 'Mathers' name of the Barclay clan of East Scotland being a possible good indicator of this too.

A Highland film company also did some research and found at least a good portion on both sides of his family.

A large part of his background are Scottish however on both sides by at least half, the name 'Mathers' of the Barclay clan, Central to North~East Scotland being perhaps one of the biggest indicators of this among others.

His Grandmother, Betty Kresin, also said in various interviews that she made an effort to keep him aware of this as well.

There was also a documentary made by a Highland film company that was presented by Zevi Watmaugh, the Black Isle firm move on up did research on this and made a documentary about this, he was also strongly compared with Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns, there too.

Maureen White, who directed the programme, said: "Eminem is truly and definitely Scottish in his genes" - at least to a large extent, especially from his maternal side.

He is claimed as a descendent of Ailsa McAllister on his Mothers side, while on his fathers side, Peter Mathers, who was in Pennsylvania when he married a Scottish woman.
