Howard Attfield (27 November 1946-31 October 2007) played Geoff Noble in the Doctor Who 2006 Christmas Special: The Runaway Bride. He was signed to reprise the role of Donna Noble's father during Series 4, sadly he passed away before filming was completed. Those scenes were re-filmed to fit Donna' grandfather, Wilfred Mott (played by Bernard Cribbins). See reference link below.
Donna Noble is in her middle 30s when she becomes companion to the 10th Doctor (David Tennant). She was portrayed by actress Catherine Tate (born 12 May 1968). Tate's age between July 1, 2006 (first appearance) and January 1, 2010 (last appearance), was between 38 and 41 years old.
Geoff noble appeared in 'the runaway bride', the first episode she appeared in when she wasn't exactly a companion to the doctor yet. presumably he died between the time of that episode and 'partners in crime', as he is only mentioned in a wistful way after that. plus the reason wilf did not appear in the Donna 1st episode is because he had spanish influzia, Geoff and the actor Howard Attlfield did die and only managed to film a few scenes for season 4 (which can be found in the complete series four box set)Wilf did appear in kylie minogues episode entitled 'voyage of the damned' and in the original scripts his name was Stan but in his introductory episode as wilf Russell T Davies found Stan a wrong name for legendary Bernard Cribbins to play.(details for in the writers tale BBC books and Russell T Davies and Benjamin Cook)

Donna Noble first meets the Tenth Doctor in the episode "The Runaway Bride," which is the Christmas special that aired after the second series of Doctor Who.
Her name is Donna Noble
Donna Noble had her memory of the Doctor erased to save her life, after a traumatic event would have overwhelmed her mind. She went on to live a normal life, unaware of her adventures with the Doctor.
Donna Noble.
Its Catherine Tate
This is true but Jacks memories were removed before the Doctor met him. He tells us when Rose first encounters him in series one: For a start, it isn't Captain Jack, it is in fact Donna Noble. At the end of the fourth series, David Tennant's final full series, when Donna touched the Doctor's spare hand, resulting in a second version of the Doctor growing out of it, only this one is part human, the Doctor's mind went into Donna's and the powers of his mind were sowly killing her. So, to prevent this from happening, the Doctor had no option but to erease her memory completely of all the things they did together. If she remembered for just one second, she would begin to burn up and be erased from existence totally.
