"The Curious Thing About Women," Dick Van Dyke episode 16, aired Jan. 10, 1962 featured the classic scene of Laura trying to comically contain the swelling expansion of an inflatable raft. Oddly enough, the co-writer of that episode, Frank Tarloff, wrote a very similar episode with the same scene for the situation comedy, "I Married Joan" which aired in December of 1952.

Don't know the names of the episodes, but it's a tie with the one about Rob's nightmare about thumbless aliens and their walnuts (Danny Thomas was the guest star), and the episode in which Laura opens packages she shouldn't, and winds up with an inflatable life raft in the middle of the living room. Before she opens that one, the reactions of neighbors Jerry & Millie are hysterical.

Yes. For example, the episode where Rob brings home Buddy's German Shepherd. Richie is scared of the dog. Laura repeatedly tries to calm him down including her atempt to talk him out of the kitchen cabinet where Rich is hiding.

An inflatable rubber boat can be purchased at several different retailers. One excellent retailer is Dick's Sporting Goods. The retailer sells all types of sports gear including inflatable boats/rafts. For the more cost conscience individual, try Target as they also offer a selection of boats.
