In this ad, the truckers are Schaefer beer truck drivers who haze the rookie drivers by making them sing the Schaefer jingle to get a good laugh. To their surprise, the rookie in this commercial has a beautiful voice that moves some of the drivers to tears. The rookie driver was played by Larry Kert, who originated the role of Tony in West Side Story on Broadway.
